It was 11 PM on a Tuesday. The day had been loud, heavy, and full of the kind of unseen pressure that builds up over weeks. My mind was racing, my shoulders were tight, and my breathing was shallow.
In a small attempt to quiet the noise, I lit a single lavender candle on my nightstand. As the room slowly filled with fragrance, I noticed something subtle but profound happen: my shoulders dropped. My breath slowed down.
